When you are typing your reply and want to italicize the quote your are replying to, put a open pointed bracket symbol (<)followed by the letter i then put a closed pointed bracket symbol (>)behind it , then place a quotation symbol in front of the text string you wish to reply to. Follow the text string with another quotation symbol, then another pointed open bracket symbol (<), then a forward slash symbol (/), then another i, then another closed pointed bracket symbol (>).

To place a space in between this and the beginning of your reply, place a open pointed bracket symbol (<) followed by the letter p then a closed pointed bracket symbol (>).

Do this every time you want to form a space between paragraphs. The symbols are HTML code to display the text you are typing and will not show up when you preview or post your reply.
