To: DUMBGRUNT

I guess nobody thought that the plane had a limited application for bot cargo and passengers.

There just are not that many places with that many people who want to go from one to another all at the same time on the same airplane.

Didn’t anybody ever think about this before they built the monster?

Airbus made a big bet that hub airports would run out of landing slots.

Boeing made the bet that airlines and their passengers would rather fly smaller aircraft point to point.

I am mostly convinced that that Airbus built the A380 just so they could say they built one better than the 747. It’s economics are only useful on a narrow select set of routes and will be eventually overwhelmed by the newest 777 models and A350.
