(Even though in the current environment Facebook, Google et al would destroy or absorb you before you truly got large enough to challenge their dominance)

Facebook’s growing power over the public square is back in the news this week as the company announced it is banning the promotion of certain kinds of back-to-work protest events on its platform. It is no longer a platform. It is a publisher and should be subject to lawsuits.

I wish a wealthy tech-savvy conservative would start a social media site friendly to conservatives. But that doesn’t seem to be in our nature. Back in the 20th century, it was said that a rich conservative would buy a professional baseball team while a rich liberal would buy a newspaper.
