Facebooks growing power over the public square is back in the news this week as the company announced it is banning the promotion of certain kinds of back-to-work protest events on its platform. It is no longer a platform. It is a publisher and should be subject to lawsuits.

I wish a wealthy tech-savvy conservative would start a social media site friendly to conservatives. But that doesn’t seem to be in our nature. Back in the 20th century, it was said that a rich conservative would buy a professional baseball team while a rich liberal would buy a newspaper.
