The New England Patriots have agreed to trade Rob Gronkowski to the Buccaneers in a deal that reunites the retired tight end with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Tuesday on SportsCenter that the five-time Pro Bowler has been "really invigorated" physically since he retired from football nearly 13 months ago.
"He tells me he feels fantastic, the best he's ever felt," Rosenhaus said. "His weight's back up to 260. He passed his physical with flying colors today. He's just really excited about playing football again, and being in Florida is exciting for him."
Gronkowski told Fox Sports in a text message: "I'm back. I always said when I have that feeling and it feels right, I will be ready to take the field again. And I have that feeling. I'm ready."

One can only hope that Bradys last pass as a Buc will be the same as with the Pats...
This is saying something about Belicheck, isnt it?
It’s as if he planned it this way.
Well, that answers the question of who the A-hole in this is. And its not Brady or Gronkowski. Perhaps, Bill?
Chiefs still beating Brady. Tampa’s on the schedule.
He can smoke weed now so he’s happy.
Patrick Mahomes is the man.
Correct. Just waiting for Edelman.
I saw Gronk on CBS Sunday morning recently.
He said he retired because he felt like he was in a fog after having twenty concussions.
Didn’t expect to see him come out of retirement, but apparently it’s what he wants.
Brady had zero to work with. Zero.
And had 2 td’s stolen by the refs.
And he still only lost to the Chiefs 23-17 IN December.
I remember when Jim Brown wanted to come out of retirement - he was 50 years old - still thought he had it.
and then there is george foreman...
Gronk is only 31. Had a YEAR off. He will be as tough as ever. But if they are 4-4 or 2-6 at midseason, I think he will quickly lose interest, as he past injuries really upset him. After their SB win against the Rams I remember him saying he had a thigh bruise that left him in agonizing pain and unable to walk for days.
So why is Gronk coming back?
No. He had no choice. Had Gronk un-retired and stayed with the Pats he would have taken up $12 million of cap on a team with only $1 mil of cap space.
Won’t be any football this year anyway.
They were dumb to cut Antonio Brown just because his golddigging former trainer accused him of sexual assault.
