Chicken and Waffles? I’ve never understood the connection. Two great foods. But foods that should not be eaten together.

And besides - isn’t this a black thing? If I ate this mess, wouldn’t I be culturally appropriating the black culture?

Chicken Chips? A friend of mine and another friend thought this up 6 or 8 years ago.
They appropriated the waffles from Belgium.

I think it’s Southern, not black.
I don’t eat chips anymore but I remember around Thanksgiving when Trader Joe’s would put out those turkey stuffing kettle chips. Now those were the best chips I ever had. My mouth is watering even now just thinking about them.

I agree with you. In fact, that combination has always sounded so off-puting to me that I would never even try it.
