A day after one of Monterey Countys biggest ag companies announced one of its employees had tested positive for the coronavirus, were getting a clearer picture of the number of field workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Monterey county.
That information coming from Dr. Gail Newel, health officer for Santa Cruz county who announced at her weekly press briefing Thursday.
There were rumors last week at this press conference around an outbreak in Monterey county, weve gotten more information about that, there were 16 cases identified in Monterey county among agricultural workers, Newel said.
