What if the mortality could be lowered to less than flu, even for the elderly, by introduction of a weakened virus under controlled circumstances?

I'm thinking preadministered drugs, vitamin cocktails, and other known treatments shown to be effective prior to introduction of a weakened, and less lethal strain of the virus.

Under the above circumstances, would you be willing to chance the above to gain immunity?
