Somewhat unrelated, but when I was in Taiwan many years ago, I saw in stores a brand of clothing called “Nigger In A Woodpile” with a kind of stylized, cute Japanese-style anime figures under the words.

I’ve seen it myself. English writing on clothing is very popular in China. But it is often not what was intended and is humorous to us. But we reciprocate the humor with Asian languages written on clothing, housewares, etc. If you have any Chinese or Japanese friends, just ask them for a translation. You may be very surprised.
