I doubt a street legal race car like that has ABS. So yes, pouncing on the brake is the last thing to do if your brakes can lock up. However, if not for his DUI, he may have known to back off the gas and slowly pump the brakes while turning INTO the skid. He is dumbass for even owning such a car. What a waste. Glad no one was hurt.
Looks to me that he had already lost control before veering left at the intersection and he was overcorrecting from overcorrecting.
