I hear you! The country has to work to survive. We will have to take risks and casualties to survive as a country.
Consider this to be an extended inoculation against accepting the command-and-control form of government. This might be considered to be a form of socialism, but socialism is only one aspect of the whole idea of the strong ruling over those perceived as weaker or subservient. Not very many of the enforced orders have anything to do with IMPROVING the state of existence of the vast majority of people, but only with obedience. And demanding obedience is such a rush for those in position to exert control.
I believer there are plenty of lamp posts around, and rope is still available. Don’t be going around pissing people off, especially when they have enjoyed a lifetime of taking minimal crap from others.
What does anybody have to lose, at that point?

It won’t work. The American people are not very good at being ruled over. People will stay home until this virus is figured out and then nothing will keep us home. We already think we are good to go.
They will, because in the end New Yorkers are good little Democrat toadies, willing to go Stasi on their neighbors who break the rules, and will faithfully vote for the Biden-Whitmer/Abrams/Klochubar/Kamala/whoever the babykilling feminazi VP pick he makes.
Facebook and Google are trying to censor the negative postings on Gates. Like what his foundation has been doing in Africa!
People are paying attention and a coverup is going to be tougher. If the country goes back on and the sky does not fall a lot of public pessimists will take a beating.
Oh yeah, Hollyweird will love it. No pat themselves on the back award shows? Sure.
In NYC, the masses, cooped up in massive projects, will love spending their summer with no pool or beaches. Riots.
Beyond our fearful governor in Alaska, and his emergency decrees; people have been mass ignoring it for the last week and more and more over the last few days.
Stores are full, roads are filling. People are getting out. It is spring breakup and there WILL BE HELL TO PAY if the fear-mongers try to keep Alaskans locked up for much longer.
Count me in.
This unbalanced setting just can't hold: people who are in lockdown won't take this much longer, especially when they know or find out what's going on in places like mine.
Not going to happen.
People are already beginning to show civil disobedience.
The Governors have two choice, lead the parade are be left behind.
I predicted the American people would tolerate this for about four to six weeks before they began to push back. It has already started.
It is becoming obvious the “cure” is worse than the disease.
I understand the reason for it. The government needed time. Well they have had time. Now it is time to open our nation back up and let people get back to work.
Idly looking at my bank’s website. They’re projecting that $2000 saved over 5 years will have purchasing power of $1500 due to inflation.

Not everybody is. If the virus is as bad as they say, why are the “essential” people still being asked to risk their lives? I doubt they will want to pull this cart alone much longer. Particularly when their unemployed brothers are making more sitting at home. Outside of the “essentials” many people are looking into the future and seeing their nest eggs disappearing because of a handful of deaths.

Plus the weather is going to heat up soon and you can’t keep people inside.
Now that we are clearing the top of the curve and the virus is on its way out they are saying, we have to keep all commercial activity closed and force out of business because there could be a 2nd wave which will be worse , like in 1918.. Again, people who say these things are ignoring we are still waiting for the for the first wave to be like 1918 spanish flu which thank goodness they were wrong,
Then next they argue, we didn't see 2 million die in the USA because we sheltered in place. Even Trump keeps saying this. But Sweden , Singapore and Taiwan did not resort to forced isolation's and their deaths per million are going to flat-line the same as USA, at about 200 per million and pass through the event over the same rate as those who did, in a little more than 2 months.
While NY is seeing higher numbers, true we should be asking ourselves what about Shanghai, or Beijing, they are densely too but are back on-line after two months, why ?. Also questionable about these places, why did the Chinese officials put in place a travel ban to these cities from Wuhan but not to the rest of the world.. ? Why does nobody ask these questions; could the high numbers in NY for the virus be because it did NOT spread to NY naturally but has been planted by the “invisible enemy” Trump keeps telling us about while calling himself a “wartime president” now?
If the virus is indeed man-made and has spread intentionally, then Trump is absolutely right his actions (travel bans ) may have very will prevented 2 million deaths, not because this virus is as lethal and behaves like the 1918 Spanish flu that all the chicken Little's are worried about but because those behind it or tough, smart and vicious as Trump recently described the “invisible enemy”... and smart he said, implying some sort of enemy military intelligence is behind this ? Why nobody asks these questions ?
If indeed this was a deliberate attack! we might very well see this again anytime in the future and should, stay sheltered. But Trump keeps saying this enemy will be defeated and if he comes out and gives us the all clear, I’m going to side with Trump and not these Chinese controlled sell out governors and all those Bernie supporters who want to bring on the communist revolution through forcing small business and landlords and our food, supply to fold under .
Remember it was sold to us as
“This will only go on for 2 weeks”
I remember hearing people say they are going to lock as down for as long as we continue to submit to them.
I do not see this ending well for anyone.
