Doctors are LOUSY pilots. Arrogance kills. You can't yell at an airplane like you can a nurse, and expect to survive.

They are notorious for blowing off pre-flights, and engine checks, going from VFR to IFR, switching to empty tanks, trying to turn into a dead engine when it quits on take-off.

That's interesting. I encounter a fair number of M.D.s in my work, and I'll tell you another thing... Most of 'em are pretty lousy investors. They make a lot, but they don't handle it wisely. In their world, they're "special," but that specialness doesn't carry over to other endeavors. Yet for some reason many doctors somehow think the contrary, believing so strongly in their innate superiority they just assume they'll be above average in other pursuits.
