This is so low of the healthcare unions to do this to these healthcare workers. Of course we value and care for healthcare workers. If anything, the hospitals and/or the state and local government folks should be held responsible for any PPE shortages. After all, in most states, we also pay state and local taxes

There are “overwhelmed” health care workers “across the country”?

Maybe these “overwhelmed” hospitals could find work for the thousands of laid-off health care workers who aren’t “overwhelmed”.

The laid-off health care workers are so because the doctors and hospitals cancelled all elective surgeries and procedures. To make room for the surge of coronavirus patients that did not materialize. Now the hospitals are faced with a huge cash flow problem.
