So in order to get the CodeRed alerts I would think you would have to have location turned on. It seemed useful the other day when all the storms were going through. Looks like a double edge sword that can be used against us. I don’t see how warning us entitles them to this much violation of privacy.

Family member has warning alerts on his phone. However if anyone wants to locate you it's really not difficult just by conventional means.
