Amen to that. When the market tanked I didn’t even call my financial advisor. My holdings were good before COVID-19, and they’ll recover and be good in the future. Stand pat. Don’t panic and do something dumb.

That said, it is very, very, very important that we think about what just happened.
We are living in a time during which pretty much any shi**y scientist can manipulate and bioengineer a weapon. I am NOT exaggerating, in the least. That's how ‘turn-key’ genetic engineering has become. There is a very significant likelihood that Covid-19 was accidentally released from a Chinese laboratory where a ‘scientist’ who was partially trained in the west (including the US) was experimenting with gain of function coronavirus ‘mutations/engineered alterations’. At this point, I think there is at least a 90% probability that Covid-19 came from the virology lab in Wuhan.
Depending how this is handled, it very well could destabilize the entire world and be the inciting event for WWIII. That's not hype.
We invited this, in part by inviting way, way too many Chinese nationals to do research in the US, and by not treating the Chinese government as the dangerous enemies that they are. Further, many US universities should have to answer for their interactions with China, the money they took from the Chinese government, and their lack of vetting or oversight.

Ya ever try to divide “tree fiddy” by a 1/2? This high math is kicking my arse. The USA ain’t goin down without a fight. Folks here can get it done. A lot of us got here hitting the ball. We may be a little slower but we ain’t dead. Trump is seeing things in Ohio, Michigan, Texas, and Kansas. Folks are waking up. Don’t make us mad, you won’t like us when we’re mad.

I believe most states will NEVER get to Phase 2, where churches and businesses are re-opened. Wyoming and Idaho probably will, perhaps the Dakotas and maybe Nebraska. My own Alabama won't reach Phase 2 before late summer or fall, just before the infections start up again and Governor Kay "MeMaw" Ivey shuts down church and sportsball once again. Blue State governors will be much, much worse.
The economy as we have known it is gone. The ill-named "CARES" act ensures that minimum-wage workers can get more money from unemployment than a job. Most businesses cannot operate without low-wage workers. These shut-down businesses are on the way to history.
Lockdown is the new normal in America, until we either get sick of it and overturn the government, or we accept it like good little communist proles.
God help us, because the government won't.
