I thought the A380 required reinforced runways and taxiways and that only a relatively handful of airports had these.
I remember back in the day O’hare was one of the airports.

This was once a USAF overhaul depot and before that a GAF depot, JU-%@ assembly point. The RAF used the field during late 1944 to 45. Before 1940 it was a major French Air Force repair and maintenance depot. The work force was known to be rather unemotional and unflappable compare to most Frenchmen. The joke was the base kept a selection of flags of major powers, including the USSR, on hand for quick flagpole changes.
