They has a shot at it too.
I remember it being so bad and so painful I couldn't even open my eyes because doing so was excruciating. I also remember my mom constantly taking my temperature and saying I was over 103 for days.
Yep - it was bad...I’m amazed more military didn’t die...but most were fairly healthy, hardy “studs” as far as general population went.
Ouch! Glad you made it.
I took a flu shot in 1990, and within a couple days developed Trigeminal Neuralgia and Optic Neuritis on the left side of the face. It is not the normal TN that can happen like migraines, but continuous. I have to take medication for it daily! What’s more, it made my Tourrette’s Syndrome, something I’ve had since birth, much more worse. I had been able to deal with it w/o medication bc the symptoms were relieved by sleep. However, now I have to take something for that or wake up with sore muscles in the face bc the tics never cease w/o t he medication.
Doctors have tried to tell me that it has no correlation to the flu shot,, but I’m an RN and I know better!
