I’m 72.
My mom bought me my first car, a Ford Mustang...first year it came out. I was 15 1/2 learning to drive, She got me a stick shift. Later I got the second Mustang for my second, a stick shift.
I have never owned an automatic transmission and I have trouble driving them. They try to make them so that kids can pretend they are changing gears.
I’m in the market for a new car ...hard to find another manual transmission...but I’m nit giving up til I find one.
I started out with a Chevy pickup with three on the tree.
Pretty hard to find a pickup with a manual nowadays.
The Hyundai hybrid 6 and 7 speeds are clutchless but can operate manually 1 gear at a time....great when you want torgue to rocket your car out of an on ramp onto a highway....loads of fun. Try it with an elantra.
