Here in Florida (Tampa, Hillsboro county), a grocery chain is giving front-line people (first responders) free groceries.

Those are the people that still have jobs and are less needy than those stuck at home without jobs.

okay, its not right for special privileges....

but you do realize they are not sitting home collecting paychecks like other govt workers....they are not taking little vacations with pay....

they are actually DOING something....

compare that to your typical bureaucrat....

some people are essential...cops, firemen, nurses, docs,etc....

wouldn't it be a little bit fairer for those that continue to work on the front lines be given a little bit of an advantage?....

My son in law who is an EMT/Firefighter in UpState South Carolina. He scored $300 free groceries last night. I like my son in law but he is not in need and is not exactly on the front lines of the covid19 battle. The bottom line is that the grocer (Bi-Lo) is virtue signaling.
