I posted the CrossFit post of the NYC patient population. It supported the same finding. Prior to the examination of smoking there was the not so paradoxical finding that those with greater ACE2 receptors faired better than this with less.
As far as data lacking because of the smoking questionnaire, that is BS. I'm sure that if they look at the laboratory work they will have a pretty good approximation of the patient population who are smokers.
As far as the early reports regarding smokers being at higher risk, there are always those that will hijack a medical emergency for their political ends.
Finally, I wonder if blood hemoglobin is different with smokers and prevents heme breakdown.

The media is not allowed to make money from advertising cigarettes.
Amazingly, they have no reports of any thing good that comes from cigarettes!

You would be surprise how many closet smokers their are. A lot of people hide the fact they smoke because of smokers discriminations. Some companies will not hire smokers now.

I suppose some of their blood hemoglobin will be carrying carbon monoxide from cigarette smoke, but I’m not sure that’s what it would take to make the hemoglobin resistant to the Wuhan Lab Virus.
