Let me see - coughs from the infected person did not put virus contaminated droplets on any surface (or the infected person’s hand(s) and from there to any surface) where they were picked up by wait staff and transfered to the tables or table settings of the other patrons? Right? The “study” controlled for those variables? I doubt it.
Who the hell knows with these Chinese fire drills. Sure, aerosol transmission blown around the room by the HVAC system is a possibility. It’s also possible that one sick person contaminated the rest room or coughed onto his hand and left his contaminated saliva all over the door handle of the restaurant.

True about air conditioners in commercial establishments with human traffic in them. Home air conditioning, in contrast, facilitates more sleep and personal immunity. Start new family businesses for making useful products and necessities.
Many of the employees preparing food in restaurants are addicted to drugs, involved in unhealthy sexual practices and very unsanitary with food. Many managers and owners have congratulated themselves in recent years for hiring addicts. Then there are the public toilets.
This is not really about Air Conditioning. It is what will happen with any mostly closed ventilation system. The Heating system will do the same thing.
