grey_whiskers Those are all valid concerns. However, what if the elites (Rothschilds, etc. etc.) believe it, notwithstanding any theological implications in either direction, merely to fluff up their own pride, vanity, and "right to rule"?

I'm sure they believe it. I'm sure it makes them dangerous because they feel entitled to kill many to achieve their godlike desires.

Cletus D. Yokel And mankind said, “Let us make god in our image. It went downhill from there. Damn straight it did.

outinyellowdogcountry I had been taught that Genesis 6:1-4 referred to fallen angels uniting with humans. However, I have learned more fully and believe that not to be true.

Mon.,Wed., and Fri. I go with fallen angels. Tues., Thurs. and Sat. I go with the line of Adam. Either way it was cleaned up by the flood. Compelling arguments can be made that God sent the flood to wipe out the genetic corruption from the Nephilim. Compelling but not conclusive, I'm leaning toward fallen angels myself.

Walt StuartI think that depends on which of his assertions we are talking about. No mortal is 100% accurate. Few are 100% wrong or off the wall.

I'm talking about his assertion that God is part of some kind of council of elohim that are conferring with one another in the beginning of Genisis. To me that seemed to be the major thrust of his argument. (The part about the illuminati being Nephilim is rather late in the argument.) That is badly wrong and dangerous for people who don't have a full and proper grounding in the theology of God and the Trinity. Satan's first lie was about God's benevolence. "You will not surely die, but God does know that in the day you eat thereof you will be AS God (not like God but AS God...taking his place) knowing good from evil.

Most people miss that right there in Genesis it tells you what sin really is. She took the fruit and SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD. for food, pleasant to behold and much to be desired to make one wise. Go back and read Genesis chapter one. God saw that it was good. God saw that it was good. God saw that it was very good. over and over. Who declares the standard of good and evil? God or man? Sin is standing in god's place and declaring good that which God has declared evil. It is a usurpation of God's prerogative as God. Did God tell them the fruit would be good for them or bad for them if they ate it? God said bad, they decided good based on the lie that God was withholding something good from them by withholding the fruit. The reality is that humans are not capable of discerning good from evil in much other than the simplest of things because we cannot see all of the consequences of our actions down through time. Therefore God has revealed to us in His word how we should live in order to enjoy the maximum amount of blessing, or happiness.

Think about homosexuality. God declared it an abomination humans have declared it to be good. Abortion? Lust? Adultery? the list goes on. My point is that it starts with a wrong conception of God that then encourages us to question His character which leads to a rejection of His word which then gives us license to justify our own wicked desires. This process could be exacerbated by the idea that God is just one of a committee of Elohim, why should I listen to him?

And, that's a point where I believe the "Book of Enoch" as we have it is flawed, wrong.

This is why the book of Enoch is merely psuedepigraphal. It was not considered to be scripture when the Bible was canonized. Its date is between the 2nd and the 1st century B.C. Enoch as you well know lived in the days of Noah, so the reliability of any oral tradition is suspect as well as is the assertion that the sayings were even those of the Biblical Enoch in the first place. I don't accept it. You need strong evidence to go against the accepted canon. Enoch is not even included in the apocryphal books, but is an psuedepigraphal book (Greek for false writings)

Walt Stuart Now, THAT'S the part I'm thankful that NEON REVOLT has raised and discussed. Some folks can receive that from him who could not receive it from other sources.

I agree with you there, but it just really concerns me that those same people will believe this very wrong idea about God.

If the world was created by a committee, that would explain a lot.
