This does not make sense to me. Can anyone explain how farmers in Florida have to destroy crops, because it is not selling, but crops from south of the border are still selling?

The wholesalers are buying the crops from south of the border. They are not buying the produce from Florida. Could be the price. Like everyone that produces a product or provide a service, the farmer must get a minimum price for his product. He/She has labor, taxes, fuel, electricity, equipment and other expenses. Before he spends a dollar, he has to earn a dollar. Only the Government can spend more money than it takes in. With nothing to back it up . the Government can keep its printing presses going full speed 24/7/365. The money is worth what they say.

I didn’t watch all of the video but the farmer was saying he was destroying his crop because the demand isn’t there due to restaurant shutdowns and things like that. He was urging people to buy American, so American farmers won’t have to destroy crops. Like I saud, I didn’t watch all of the video so I don’t know what he said after tha.
