“Let’s see if Title IX protects womens’ programs if, as this article stats, other colleges could start cutting programs.”

This is kind of fun. You know what Title IX doesn’t protect? Loss of income from men’s basketball and football. Men’s BB and FB carry the load for everything else.

Reality is a tough intruder when you’re trying to impose social justice.

Mens’ basketball and football are the money makers for most schools. The article also mentions programs at different schools could be jeopardized. It can lead to a complicated process and perhaps Title IX could be involved.

I don’t think any sport legally open to both sexes should be considered either male or female under Title VII. Women have the same opportunity to play NCAA football as do men. They — along with the vast majority of male students — simply aren’t good enough to make the team.
