Two men have been arrested and charged with the murder of a teenage girl from South Florida who was fatally shot while selling designer sneakers with her online entrepreneur boyfriend.
Miami-Dade police on Sunday apprehended Adrian Cosby and George Walton, both 19, in connection to Tuesday’s slaying of Andrea Camps Lacayo, 18, and the wounding of her boyfriend, Sergio Berben.

The kind that should never be worn. They should be kept in a safety deposit box. The only reason to buy such shoes is as an investment. No 18 year-old is going to notice or benefit from any “wearing” or “performance” difference.
So when this neighborhood becomes a shoe desert, who are we going to blame?

Walton, the beast on the right kept the couple busy while Cosby, the beast on the left, sneaked up on the car and assassinated them. Based on the available info, they should have been charged with 1st degree murder. Walton could plea down to 2nd D in return for testifying about the planning. Cosby had been charged with grand theft auto and numerous related offenses in 2017 — then the charges were miraculously dropped. Another case where a criminal monster would have been in jail if we had a functioning judicial system.
How is that second degree? There was obviously some planning here.

So she was selling three pairs of $4,200 sneakers for $900 or $300 a pair? That is a steep discount.
Note that this is a BRITISH NEWSPAPER. Very few Americans will know about this crime, as has been the case for crimes in the past that might tend to ‘stigmatize’ certain elements of society.
So the question to the people who loved Andrea - Would she still be alive today, if she had known the risks involved in trying to make that kind of a transaction? In other words, might she have taken more precautions - such as meeting in a public place, or even a police station - if she knew the risk?
My guess is that she, being so young, simply had NO CLUE as to what level of danger she put herself in - and for that, she paid the ultimate price.
So another question: Is it worth having to live with avoidable killings like these and other violent crimes only because our media has decided not to report on these types of crimes? Is that really doing society any favors?
I really think we've gone so far down the toilet that we're going to have to get nasty to clean out the drain. And don't even get me started on how far down the toilet you have to be to get to thousand dollar sneakers.
