There is a recent book, Fentanyl Inc., that names Wuhan as a component supply source. Of course with 11 million people 99.9 % could just be good family folk.
I agree. China shut down much more than Wuhan.
In my delirium caused by being mostly confined to the house and harassed when shopping, I suspect that this shutdown was an attempt to discredit Trump and a dry run to see how nations would react and how easily the global economy can be destroyed. Look for this to happen again in the future with all countries agreeing to a global government as the solution. Once the “crisis” is contained, the new government will turn their efforts toward global warming and environmentalism.
I have been astounded by how easily Americans and other nations have been willing to give up their rights for a bit of perceived security. Since when does having a vaccine available make you accepting of a greater number of deaths per year from the common flu? Have we ever sacrificed our economy and rights for the flu? As the saying goes, something evil this way comes.
What you don’t believe in miracles? Our Lady of Shanghai to the rescue. Something is really fishy.
If I may offer my two-cents on this, and I know I will be attacked by all the pearl clutching fatalists on FR, but to wit:
1. China’s statistics cannot and should not be taken seriously. They are a communist/totalitarian regime that harvest the organs of criminals and dissidents.
2. Western governments are recording all flu, pneumonia and other respiratory deaths as COVID-19, regardless as to whether it is true. Got to keep padding the stats to keep the sheep caged and under control. Check out the news article from a doctor in Minnesota states he has been directed by the CDC or some other government agency to record all deaths as due to COVID-19 whether or not they were infected with it.
3. There is no vaccine or cure for the common flu. While there is indeed a “flu shot” it is not a vaccine or a cure. It does not prevent a person from contracting the flu but can mitigate a person from contracting it or at least minimizing the effects after a person contracts it. Yet millions of people in the US get flu shots every year but still contract it afterwards and some do indeed die as a result, so why is this strain any different?
4. In 2018 over 20 million US citizens contracted the “regular” flu and 80 thousand died. Based on the criteria being used to classify COVID-19 as a pandemic, 2018 was a pandemic, so why didn’t we go on lockdown then?
5. In 2009 there was the SARS outbreak. I cannot recall the exact or approximate numbers but it was comparable to 2018 flu stats, but there was no lockdown then either.
So in summation, yes, I agree there is something fishy here. I have my opinion on what it is, but everytime I post it on thread here, Inget flamed by the pearl clutching fatalists and trolls.
