My Practice: Products coming to the house are first laid out on table in garage and sprayed with 3% hydrogen peroxide and let sit 5 minutes to 24 hours before bringing into the house.

(A gallon of food grade HP can be diluted to 3% and will last a long time)

The problem with hydrogen peroxide is that you have to make direct contact (wet down) the items in question. I have some experience with Lysol in a disinfection environment and it contains a substance with persistent and fumigant like properties such that simply being in an enclosed area with it, is highly germicidal. The alcohol in it is largely just a quick evaporating carrier.
