Unfortunately he was extremely overweight. I’m sure that was a contributing factor.

This disease is unforgiving to the obese, smokers and diabetics among others.

Kid had a weight problem.

Yep.. according to MaxPreps, his playing weight in 2013 was 360 lbs. he was 6’3”. His weight very likely only went up from there.
