LOL it isn’t yahoo news- it’s yahoo search engine- there isw a difference-
I dont know this kid but folks need to wake up to some cold hard reality..
That being, that you do not need to have an underlying medical condition to die from this.. or any infectious disease...you dont have to be old to die from this or any infectious disease.. human biodiversity and statistical probability mean some perfectly healthy people with no underlying medical conditions and are young will die from this.
Yes odds are low that if you are young and have no underlying conditions that you will die from this virus, but they are not zero.
[[That being, that you do not need to have an underlying medical condition to die from this.. or any infectious disease.]]
Shhhhhh- can’t say that- only elderly sick people and very obese young people or young people with serious underlying conditions die from the virus- everyone knows that- /s
True.
My cousin died at nineteen. From mononucleosis.
I had a stroke when I was 31.
Well, his picture is in post eleven and Obesity is pretty much confirmed.
I was responding to HamiltonJay’s statement that young people do succumb to the virus too- For some weird reason- some folks on Fr seem to take offense to that- I got ‘yelled at’ lol for posting ‘Fake Yahoo News’ when it was no such thing- it was a link to the search engine, not yahoo news itself- There just seems to be a need on Fr to prove that every young person that doesn’t make it through the virus had serious previous medical issues for some reason- I don’;t understand it-
That is a fact, a hard cruel reality. But you also have to decide what you will do with this low probability phenomenon.
All daily life is full of cold hard realities. A finite number of workers are killed each day on the way to work. But I don’t even think of not getting in the car and driving to work, because I have informally calculated the benefit to risk ratio in my mind.
The public has to be convinced that this epidemic is such a situation before the workforce is put back into action. Personally, I think it’s time (with reasonable precautions for workers and protections for the vulnerable citizens).
You may disagree. That’s why we have elections, I guess. Enjoy your Easter!
Babies and the VERY YOUNG die of the flu every year do we shut the whole damn country down NO!!!
no need to yell and swear- noone is making the argument that we should shut the whole country down because some young people die of the virus-
nor is anyone in this thread making the arguments that the extreme actions that the governments took was the right actions- not sure where you even came up with that concern about anything that was said in the thread? I understand your concern about the state governments over reacting, but that wasn’t really what this thread was about-
But whatever- it’s Easter morning- Have a happy Easter- Stay safe-
You have a very HAPPY EASTER also!!!
Food assistance programs follow the food pyramid and that’s the recipe for getting fat.
True, the primary difference is that during ordinary flu all of the 20-40 somethings that die are nobodies. During this extra special sooper dooper media event illness (the “Date Rape drug of socialism” HT Disestablishmentarian) every 20-40 something is a precious jewel snatched from the palm of life as opposed to the poor saps with the misfortune to get this after 60-70 years of physiological demolition derby...
Yep.. according to MaxPreps, his playing weight in 2013 was 360 lbs. he was 63. His weight very likely only went up from there.
My father died from complications from the treatment he was receiving for prostate cancer. He is recorded as a cancer death statistic.
My great-uncle chewed snuff. Passed away at age 94. New York State listed cause of death as tobacco use.
What you die of depends to a large degree on what the Feds are funding.
Some ex-Steeler lineman told Rush Limbaugh that once you stop playing football you need to rapidly drop the extra weight or you’ll die.
and you know this how?
Or is this make a wish?
OK, the chi-com virus assisted in taking about 15-25 years off of the guys life but his eating habits were responsible for his very early death.
He was obese because he ate too much.
I had to go on my first diet ever about a year ago, first time in my life that I went 25 pounds overweight and I didn't realize how hard it was to diet.
I have a greater appreciation for people with a weight problem, but not a pass if they give it up and turn into a blob that is over 100 or more pounds overweight.
In the end, we are responsible for what we do, eating, drinking, drugs, cheating, lying, stealing, running around, it's all on each of us.
It is Easter, He is Risen and we can Rise with Him.
He forgives, We accept Him, Happy Easter.
Because they buy and consume high carbohydrate (sugary) foods. In other words poor diets like 80% of the US population, CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs is a death sentence.
