Was prescribed this Hydroxychloroquine by a doctor who saw something in my bloodwork that was "one of the indicators" that I "might" eventually develop lupus, rhumatiod arthritis, etc. Doc said it would take several months before it kicked-in, it took 6 months for me.
Was on it for several years but I no longer take it. No sense in taking a drug for something "I might never get either". I had to be weened off of it, lowering the dose every 6 months.
Based on what I've read, the docs are giving it to sick patients between 5 and 10 days in a cocktail with Z pack (azithromiacin) and zinc with success.
Based on what I've told you of my first hand experience, your common sense could probably make a better guess from there.
Just sharing wjat I lnow forst hand but like I said, I'm not a doc.
