My pleasure of watching the live performance of “Jesus Christ, Superstar” was disrupted when a tornado warning hit north Georgia and the local weather drones cut in and have been talking about it for the last 40 minutes. To say that I’m PO’ed is an understatement.
I would really liked to have seen the rest of it. Alice Cooper played Herod!
Seriously, when did local channels decide that it was Ok to interrupt TV shows, especially rare ones, to talk about the weather. Back in the day, they’d announce the warning, maybe overlay a small map in the corner of the screen, and leave people alone.
= rant mode OFF. :)
That is too bad. If your area was not in danger they should have made a brief announcment and let the liver performance go on. Can you see it later so you don’t miss anything?
Are you sure the broadcast was live? I know NBC did this...um..last year? I very rarely watch broadcast TV (out in the boonies so far I only get a few channels that are controlled by the weather) but I do remember being fortunate to see it live last year (I think, lol!).
I’ve had JCSuperstar on the stereo all weekend, it’s a tradition hubby and I had. Start Good Friday at church, go home, crank up Superstar and start cleaning and baking for Easter.
Hubby’s not here anymore and I don’t know if my dog, Kiwi the Wonderdog, sings along because he likes the music or if it hurts his ears, but he sure howls along! I do offer to let him out if it bothers him, but nope, he wants to stay in.
Sorry bout your weather guys who love drama almost as much as Shemp Smith, hope you’re safe.
