“It’s literally like living in a foreign culture. Everyone running around so full of fear, I don’t know how to act around them.”

That’s for sure. There’s suspicion in everybody’s eyes. No conversations, and especially no kidding around.

In Walmart yesterday I watched people in checkout slowly turning their heads to see if anyone was encroaching into their space, then there were glares. The ones wearing masks were constantly touching them which is supposed to be a no-no.

Luckily, so far, not here in Eastern Nevada. A trip to Smith's grocery indicated a 25-max-in-store (same at Wal-Mart). Thought there'd be a line up but walked right in and had a friendly clerk wipe down the cart handles. People on line kept their distance, joked with the cashier (they all were masked, as were the baggers). Everybody was OK.

Same at Wal-Mart. Joked with the people-counter about at least getting some fresh air. Only about half, if that, wore masks, and all were low-key.

Water plentiful, with paper goods starting to appear, although a one-each limit prevails.

Only a drive-in at KFC and McDonalds open. This town depends on gamblers and snowbirds and the place is DESERTED. You know their budget had been creamed Big Time.
