My wife and I are 80 plus, and we get texts/emails/phone calls from our family/friends to check on us from locals to those 1000+ miles away.

We have two neighbors within a city block, who check on us.

My wife is one of 2 dozen people in our church, who call on anywhere from 15 to two dozen people or families twice a week to see how they are doing. If they need transportation or groceries, or ????

She is on the phone now re adding a church member to our prayer list.

My Mom gets a call from the local funeral home director daily to see how she is doing. They have been friends since high school. 😀
