Until they come up with a pharma that can be given BEFORE things get desperate enough for hospitalization, we’re in limbo.
While the 40-60yr olds might need to go back to work for $$$, they don’t WANT to. I can’t blame them. 10%+ chance of hospitalization is a biggie. If you knew, when you got in your car every morning, that there was a 10% chance you’d end up in the hospital you’d probably find something else to do.
And what does it do when those people can’t ‘participate’ in the economy because they’re paying off that medical bill? Sure, they only HAVE to pay $5/month supposedly. Then the hospitals will go bankrupt.
There is no win here for anyone. Just varying degrees of lose lose lose.
Well I am just outside that age range, but I will go back to work when I can wear N95 masks, goggles and gloves and when almost everyone I encounter is doing the same. That is similar to what China is trying right now. Odds of infection are much less then. But for the time being, high risk activities for sport should be curtailed, unless you want to stay down the hall from the covid ward.
