A couple weeks ago I was standing on the new blue “X” in the checkout line at the local supermarket with my cart in front of me. The woman in front of me was paying. She told me in a very unfriendly voice “Get back.”
I said “No. I’m on the blue ‘X’.”
She yelled at me “Get back!!”
I replied “No, I’m not moving. I’m on the store’s blue ‘X’.”
When I was paying a few minutes later, she was over at Customer Service yakking her head off and gesticulating toward me. I think she must have been complaining to the store manager about me.
Just unbelievable. The world is full of paranoid insane people.
