They have internet and a phone in prison? Or is it a common computer in the day room and a pay phone? I hope the latter.

Michael does not seem to be adjusting well. Even in easier prisons, a big ego, soft hands, a line of BS, and no juice usually makes for hard time. And going into solitary for protection marks him as weak and puts him in the disreputable company of homosexuals and snitches.
