I’m not a catholic, but wondering what happened with ash Wednesday?
Or maybe it was before everything shut down?
It makes me want to weep, seeing that immense basilica empty for Holy Thursday Mass.

Ash Wednesday was long ago.The Pope will not be washing feet and no procession.Eerie scene,very empty.Blessed Easter to You ((((Hugs))))
Kinda scary,my husband turned it off because it is not in English.Mass at 5 PM in English .
Looking at the offerings on Catholic TVs website. Francis’ daily Mass for yesterday had translation. Holy Thursday Mass is showing as being available at 1200 PDT, presumably to allow time for the translation to be added
It’s all in Italian! I have nothing against the Italian language, but the Papal Mass on an important day like Holy Thursday should be using Latin. Even the Gospel is being sung in Italian. :-( (Protocol is to sing it in Latin and then again in Greek.) The Pope is the pastor of the universal church, not just of the Italian church.
If the nonstop jabbering commentator is part of the show, I’m not watching.
