The acceptance of the clearly unconstitutional mandate is why I included:
Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with. - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Invent some violation, now that you are wearing a mask, automatic compounded punishment of at least a year in prison.
curious as to why the moderator removed several photos of black people proudly wearing homemade masks at blm and anti protests.
I took a black history course at Ohio State. The professor actually said that black people do not commit crime. It’s just an ugly stereotype.
>>they won’t wear “homemade masks”
In ten years ‘people of color’ will become a ‘bad phrase’ and a new term will be brought forward.
One gets the sense that the Wuhan Virus might be losing steam simply by the speed in which the perpetually aggrieved are going right back to the social justice crusade.
No. The advice is don’t go out in public.
The professor is so quick to be the victim he doesn’t look at the rest of the picture.
Lol! True! Saw a couple of guys in a store the other day wearing bandanas on their faces. Yea, they fit the bill.
They should wear light-colored masks. Maybe with Disney characters.
CNN is raciss.
A joke? No, it’s not April 1, and it says “not satire.”
Here’s a thought. Those burkas or other face covers for female members of a seventh-century death cult. Do they qualify as face masks?
[I experienced some bad looks by local police flanking a walmart entrance, in a wealthy white / indian / muslim area, about two weeks ago.
Was wearing patriotic untucked t shirt as cover garment, person-of-non-color face, beard, baseball cap, mask, and nitrile gloves.
They should be alarmed by mask and gloves?]
How come if you say "colored people" they get all bent out of shape? But if you write a check to the "National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" they get all misty?
I’m curious as to why you would post a pic with the f-bomb in it.
Actually only N95 and hospital some surgical masks protect from a higher % of viral fragments than they allow in. Many of the others may stop direct hits of droplets (and then the fabric is infected), but will not stop any totally airborne individual viral fragments. That is why the N95 (stopping 95% of viral fragments) standard mask was made.
But publicly, while not getting either herd immunity or a vaccine, we have a lot of herd mentality going on.
This morning, in a park, I witnessed to two folks sitting on park benches more than six feet away from each other, talking to each other and each wearing masks. The health effects of that? Zip, zilch, nada. But plenty of herd mentality.
This guy sounds like a typical Black racist Professor.
> you were probably viewed as a potential carrier of the current plague.
They’re pretty stupid. Who was more likely to spread it, someone with an N95, or someone without?
My point was not necessarily that I was surprised, it was only how stupid they were.
