Would that generate the heat, and allow the UVs in, to effectively sanitize?

I don't know. I use an ozone generator in a rubbermaid container for packages, and a sterilizer for my wife's masks. Gloves and other PPE goes into the trash.

The MERs study found 65C/149F at 15 minutes was enough to inactivate the virus (completely). Stanford recently came forward and stated 70C/158F for 30 minutes. I think they just recycled the previous study and increased the disinfection temperature and time based on an overabundance of caution. Others ran with it without giving credit to the original MERs researches.
