We're laughing and talking to our niece on Facetime, right now. She's doing much better - only had the HCQ (no Zinc or Z-pac). Complaining with a headache, and most foods don't taste the same, but otherwise much better.
Funny thing: When she went home from the hospital, they gave her a script for only two more HCQ tablets. They had given her 3 while she was in the hospital.
Hallelujah!
So happy to hear.
Chinese research showed that Hydroxychloroquine maintains a concentration in the lungs at approximately 90% for another five days. Five days is the standard script with ten days of benefit.
Excellent news about your niece!
I just saw this on twitter from Dr Sam Girgis (NYC Medic):
“Tough day. It truly is a War... Life and Death struggle. I discharged 2 COVID-19 patients today that were in ICU in critical condition at one point during hospitalization. It was a Win!”
This is from Dr Nida Qadir (Los Angeles Medic)
“Yes, patients do recover from #COVID19 #ARDS. And yes, my #ICU team does do an #extubation dance every time we liberate someone from a #Ventilator.” See link for 9 seconds of their victory dance:
