The “herd immunity” works good with vaccines where no lives are at stake. However when you have live fire, and have to sacrifice your Dad or Grandmother for the sake of “herd immunity”, the theory is not so appealing.

Does it look like the lockdown is working to flatten the curve in New York or Italy? Not to me.

This virus could be so contagious that lockdowns are worthtless. Some studies have it traveling 27 feet, lasting in the air for three hours and being spread by mere breathing.

One thing is for damn sure -- that if there is a second wave of the virus, Sweden will have far fewer instance of it.

Sweden's approach may save lives.

Agreed. The better way to approach this is to open up the economy and get to herd immunity faster. We are at best delaying the inevitable or at worst creating a more deadly scenario.

That part is a study of the theoretical arc of a maximum sneeze - not for this case in particular, and not a typical sneeze.
