I saw one made with a bandana and a coffee filter (inside the folds)...then, just tie the bandana end, on back of head.
I have about 50 bandanas. Quite a few of them would go well with one of my western hats to bring home the train robber look.
Sorry, I’m not a Bandito or an Antifa twat.
It’s not Halloween and it would be a sin to deprive
the world of my bright, brilliant and inspiring face.
There are hundreds of patterns and/or tutorials online — mostly free. I only saw one, on Etsy, that costs anything.
Also, a tip I read that makes sense is to use batik fabric if possible. It’s much more dense so fewer cooties can get through.

Just duct tape your t-shirt over the top of your nose.
I just take a couple wraps around my head with toilet paper and attach the end with duck tape.
Cut an old bra in half. Good for Monday and Tuesday
I’m not covering my face. My sinuses are always swollen, so I breathe through my mouth a lot. I used nasal spray for 30 years, and got hooked on it, and will never go back to that again. I use saline spray, but only moisturizes, it doesn’t reduce the swelling. I have to use nasal strips at night to keep my nasal passages open, because I also have a deviated septum. I wear glasses, and since I breathe through my mouth, I’m betting my glasses would get fogged up when my exhale is forced up through the top of the mask. No thanks. I’ll take my chances massless.
I made one that is absolutely CCP-19 proof.
Heavy duty Glad trash bag and some duct tape. Ain’t nuthin’ gettin’ through that sucker.
My buddy said I’m over looking something, but I can’t figure out what it is.

You could also use a thong ... check out Mom ... https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/11289817/steph-mcgovern-anton-du-beke-thong-face-mask/
Here’s a pattern my friend has used to make about 300. Her nurse friend said they seem to like this best if they can’t get the real deal quickly.

Here’s what one CDC site had to say about homemade masks then:
“In settings where face masks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort [our emphasis]. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face”.
Bump for later.
Bras, especially sports bras work good.
Punch two small holes in each hollowed-out hemispherical grapefruit rind; one at 3 o'clock position, the other at 9 o'clock.
Loop a sturdy rubber band through each hole, and attach the rind to yer face, fastened securely to each ear by the bands.
Makes an excellent facemask to block the bioweapon virus.
The rind will block the virus strands, even though each individual virus has a mass of ~ 10^-15 gram. That's one quadrillionth of a gram = one femtogram.
The grapefruit mask delivers an extra bonus of vitamin C tang when you inhale.
It also makes a formidable fashion statement.
