Taking their cue from Weather Channel?
I do believe certain hospitals are overwhelmed in the NY boroughs with Covid 19 patients and other hospitals in more affluent areas or do not have an overage of obese people or primarily for elective surgery are well below capacity because elective surgery has been cancelled. The big metric for me is the largest temp hospital built by the Corps of Engineers in the Javits Center exclusively for Covid 19 patients with 2500 beds. Maybe eventually it will get patients but right now although recently opened there are no patients.I really do think NYC is stressed in certain areas and Cuomo right now is creating the impression that the city is overwhelmed everywhere. I do think it is in certain areas but until I see the Javits Center start to fill with patients I don’t think it is critical everywhere in the city
You sound just like our chronic malcontent leftists.
I think the IMHE data is the most damning indication that this is overblown.
Moreover the deliberate effort to create hysteria is causing human harm.
Great post.

May I ask, IN WHAT WAY?
“My sister is a physician, and she went from being a FluBro to deeply concerned..”
I suppose it could be distressing to see a regular stream of similarly afflicted. It’s very different than what’s become routine.
Kinda like big city McDonalds customers all of a sudden only ordering the number 2.
Same here in Oregon..Nate Guard set up beds at State Fairgrounds. ..doubt it’s got anyone in it...as our “Guv” is giving ventilators to New York ( Oregon )
In our area of south bay Los Angeles county, its the same. Elective procedures postponed, hospitals relatively empty, just waiting for the surge.
So... is it a secret where your closest hospital? Is it in the United States, Zaire, or Zimbabwe?
What hospital where? Show your process!
“I have no idea what to think about this coronavirus thing. My opinion swings like a pendulum, sometimes daily. Weirdest thing for me.”
Same here. I was very conerned about getting this virus, then I leaned towards it’s all “overreaction and panic”...
...now it looks like MA will pass LA and Cali in number of cases.
^ Wok Box is primarily Canadian and
that International Do Not Enter sign is
uncommon if not hardly seen in the US
Assuming the numbers haven’t been cooked. And since the higher the number, the more money from Uncle Sugar to local and state governments.
Surely Cuomo wouldn’t do such a thing, would he? /s
She’s hawt.
BTW, I drive by hospitals everyday and all day.
Besides the parking lots being 1/2 empty, which seems improbable on a normal, there are very few ambulances in front of the emergency room.
The tents are sitting there ready and unused, at this time..../s
And in that same amount of time twice will die from heart disease. Lock down the twinkies.
I’m taking this virus very seriously, but at some point, we have to step back and allow common sense back in.
That report is easy to explain.
The hospitals are needed for coronavirus patients and these facilities are not handling coronavirus patients. This has to change asap.
Non-coronavirus admissions are very low; people aren’t driving, so few acidents, and nobody in their right mind would go to the hospital now unless its absolutely necessary to save their life.
They are showing the same I see with ambulances.
They are oddly parked but, not in front of the E-room
