Campbell slapped the US hard on our lack of shutting down hair salons and golf courses. I agree with him. It’s disgusting.
Golf Courses are pretty safe environments.
Hair salons would not be.
While I agree with Campbell on the golf courses, it made me think of my friend.
He is 75 years old, and he’s the equipment manager for two golf courses near me. He’s a Viet Nam vet, and he’s one of those guys whose identity is his job. He does nothing else other than work, eat, sleep, work.
If they sent him home, he’d be lost. He and his wife would probably fight all day long, because they need their time apart. I also imagine that if they sent him home for any length of time, he likely would not come back due to his advanced age.
I don’t know what the solution is, he’s a good man, and just thinking about his situation makes me sad.
I'll bet you that there are millions and millions of masks stuck in federal and state government warehouses which would have been much more strategically utilized by insuring the greatest availability to the general public.
If more people were wearing masks, it would greatly reduce the spread of the virus, and thereby exponentially reduce the number of sick who need HCS.
Anytime government gets involved, you're guaranteed massive screw-ups, then the need to hide their incompetence.
