I’m so out of my league - its just I keep doing searches on things (pretty specific) and articles and recent books started popping up all on the cutting edge of biomedical science and biomedical device and sensor fabrication. I think what they are saying in their nomenclature and what I for some reason intuitive suspect are in alignment. I guess it depends on whether mere contact with silver harms the virus. If that’s the case then you may well be on the right track. Mask filters, maybe air handling filters.
The NIH article mentions that other metal nano-particles may also be effective; gold gets mentioned as well as non-precious metals. No one knows because this possibility hasn’t been investigated enough.
