Thats the Catch 22.
We do something to slow the spread and it ends up not being as bad as the dire predictions of what would happen if we didnt do anything to slow the spread, and then the flubros come along and say See, it wasnt as bad as expected so we didnt need to shut down after all.
Not being willing to admit that it wasnt as bad because of the precautions we took that theyre saying werent needed.
You just cant win with some people.
I took most of the day off away from this thread.
Until there is a cure at scale and/or a vaccine, every declaration of victory will be followed by a disaster.
The second wave will start from a much higher baseline and cause many more hospitalizations and deaths.

Most folks are wearing masks, and it is three months since the outbreak in Wuhan.
I would expect a major new virus break-out in China—but the question is whether we will get to hear about it.
