I don’t think “Mythbusters” is on any more, but it would be interesting if they’d do a segment on the effectiveness of face masks. The experiments they did on sneezing, and on toilet flushing, were informational.

My view on homemade masks is that if the viral load is reduced, that means:

--Less folks get seriously ill since their immune system has a better chance to fight off the virus

--Which means less folks get hospitalized

--Which means a big win for the health care system

--Which in turn means less triage

--Which in turn leads to a lower death rate.
