Well, the Earth is 93 million miles from the Sun and Venus is only 67 million miles.

Since the Sun is an enormous ball of fusing hydrogen that gives off an amazing amount of light and heat and other energies, I’d say being 26 million miles closer to the “furnace” makes things a lot hotter on Venus,

That’s obviously true, I was trying to be sarcastic....but the earth’s orbit is not a perfect circle or ellipse...so when it’s closer to the sun it will be hotter here and vice versa
