Sure explains to me how this thing spread so fast. I unfortunately live in NY, we went from 900 cases to 70,000 in only 11 days. My brother lives in New York city and said the streets have been abandoned, so how is this spreading so fast unless it’s being done deliberate? Perfect virus to spread, where it can last for days on a surface.

Even those videos from in China where the guy is spitting on the elevator buttons. Probably some research on the thinking that “If I’m going to get it and die, everyone else is too.”
I was just thinking last night that some whackos might be doing this stuff (apartment doors, car doors, etc.) and meant to email my loved ones. Some will think I’M the crazy one, and others will go “Oh crap - he’s right!”

They claim that video is “fake”. It is one woman that does the spitting at some other store, spliced in with another woman getting arrested. But - that is CLEARLY a woman looking around and then spitting on the bananas. CV related or not - there are some whacked out people out there.
Even the normal Chinese seem to be pretty filthy. I’m so glad Costco got rid of their samples. The CV was ramping up in Washington state and I was getting my last few items at Costco and they still had the samples. Some old Chinese guy didn’t like his and spit it out. Part going into the garbage can, part on the floor, and the rest on his mouth and shirt. Which he wiped off with his hand. YUCK!!

Look at this map, NY Times even acknowledges it. Areas where the virus is spreading fastest are all the main ports of entry for foreigners and illegals. NY, Florida, Cali, Arizona. Hey but putting in a travel ban or building a wall is racist.

NYT (sorry but their stats and graphics group is superb) has tables of Counties by cases and percapita. Google something like : corona virus Case count table of counties. Lots of good data. Not paywalled if you go at it right

My guess is health care workers (Nurses,Some doctors,technicians and aides etc) coupled with a highly developed public transit system. Exposed all day to concentrated amounts of infectious patients.
Once they leave work they break protocol, if they haven’t done so during work ie: remove gloves,gowns, don't change shoes etc and get on a subway touching multiple surfaces along the way. Railings,seats and overhead straps perfect medium for transmission in a crowded environment.
