Randall Flagg is still around...
Great book, but I cannot STAND Stephen King now and refuse to read anything of his. There were a couple of his book ( I can't remember their names now, it's been so many years ago), but there were the same story just in 2 different settings, different characters, same plot...that's when I quit reading him.....
