As the video conferencing platform Zoom has grown in popularity during the novel coronavirus pandemic, so have instances of Zoom bombing. Zoom bombing is when someone joins your meeting and disrupts it in some way.
Create a unique ID
Instead of using the personal meeting ID Zoom assigns when you create an account, pcmag.com recommends you instead generate a unique code.
Create a waiting room
By creating a waiting room, the host and/or co-hosts can control who joins a meeting. The waiting room option can be found under account settings. Once enabled, the host can either put everyone in the waiting room or guest participants only, which adds people on different Zoom accounts or who are not logged into the waiting room.
Disable screen sharing
The Verge also recommends the meeting host disable the screen sharing feature.
If you schedule a meeting from the web interface, you wont see the option to disable screen sharing, the Verge writes. Instead:
Click on Settings in the left-hand menu
Scroll down to Screen sharing and under Who can share? click Host Only
Click on Save

Remember we have a lot of kids out of school who are sitting at home bored. They love doing this kind of stuff. It's like when I was growing up and we used to sit around making prank phone calls. This was before caller ID and all that other technology. So there was a time when you could prank call people from your home all day long and never get caught.
This is akin to home wi-fi networks. It used to be you could get by without having it password protected, but now ... not recommended.
“This is the electric company. We know it is 3:00 am but we need you to get up check and see if the streetlights are out on your street. We’ve had reports of an outage.”
The number of statist sheep, globalist whores, and RINOS here is astounding.
Jim should rename this site "People's Republic".

They’ve always been here. Just do some remembering of the vicious fights over which of the uniparty, opposition approved candidates for POTUS to support.
Or how often someone will admit that the msm always lies then go right on demanding that we all believe the latest lie from the msm.
Eastasia has always been our ally. We have always been at war with Eastasia.
That’s not just a leftist thing. And there’s a crap ton of “conservatives” that are leftists that simply cant admit it to themselves.
One that I remember doing is we would call people and tell them we are from the phone company and need to work on their lines. Then we'd tell them not to pick up the phone if it rings over the next hour, otherwise the worker might get electrocuted.
Then we would call back about 10 minutes later and if somebody picked up, we'd let out a bloodcurdling scream - like we were being electrocuted. This worked best on old people.
We’re using EventBrite to somehow limit who gains access to the Zoom session.
“We should be so lucky at Freerepublic, which has been taken over by paid trolls and shills, fiercely determined to create as much hysteria and panic over coronavirus as they can, and who carpet bomb the site with hysterical coronavirus headlines 24/7”
they’ve sort of died down now that the Trump Pill looks like it’s gonna save the day ... not as much opportunity for FUD now ...
“Or how often someone will admit that the msm always lies then go right on demanding that we all believe the latest lie from the msm.”
that’s the thing that gets me: the number of fools here who yammer on simply based on reading only the headline of a completely fake piece of “news”, yet commenting as if it’s gospel truth ....

Thank you for posting this article. We are using Zoom for church services for those who cannot make it. I am going in and fixing the settings right now.
Do you have Prince Albert in a can?
If there is no other option than Zoom, use the dial-in number, lowest risk.
For simple video calls, I’ve told people to use FaceTime or Skype. Most people can access either application easily & I trust Microsoft / Apple to do the right thing.
